Blackberry no longer competes with iPhone or Android terminals

Jason Chen is the current CEO of the company Blackberry and under his leadership, the Canadians launched on the market a smartphone with an almost square screen that should convince current and former customers of the company that another type of smartphone should not be bought. What Jason Chen understood better than his predecessors is how to compete with iPhoneor with smartphones Android it is not the purpose of the company Blackberry, so he's focusing on something else now.

We don't expect to sell a handset to everyone and we don't expect to take down the consumers who love to play games on their iPhones. But we do want to provide an experience that caters to the mobile professional – anyone who relies on their device to do their jobs... Innovations with the BlackBerry Passport focus on things that matter: advances in battery life, an innovative screen, a multi-function keyboard and seamless synchronization of contacts and documents across devices, and aggregation of all messages (email, text, social, etc.) into one actionable hub.

CEO Blackberry claims that it will not try to attract consumers who like to play on iPhone, subtly mocking the terminal of those from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), as not being suitable for business people or people who work in corporations and need advanced security. More than that, Chen says that Blackberry tries to offer a great battery life and various productivity functions superior to those existing in other smartphones available on the market.

The repositioning of Blackberry as a manufacturer that does not compete with Apple, Samsung, LG or HTC is an interesting move and it would be good if the change would bring them back to the top.
