Battlefield 4 with console graphics is demonstrated on the iPad

Battlefield 4 is one of the most popular shooters ever released on the market for PC and consoles, and the company that created its graphics engine thought of trying to remake it in a special version for iPhone and iPad. The game is currently available in App Store, but with a clearly inferior graphics engine, so in the pictures you see what the company managed to do using the new one APIMetal released by Appl especially for iOS 8 and games.

iOS 8 Metal is meant to give game developers easier access to the resources needed to process graphics, all done much more efficiently than in the case of OpenGL, the games benefiting from much more resources. In this idea, for Battlefield 4 it was possible to implement a greater number of complex graphic elements compared to the graphics engine used in the version already released in App Store, the change being truly impressive.

The company behind the title claims that it will implement more similar changes in the future, but all as it manages to port the graphics to Metal.
