Does iOS 8.3 have bluetooth issues? Here's how you can solve them!

Bluetooth icon

The other day I talked to you about three annoying bugs of iOS 8.3 that affect the experience of using our iDevices, they should theoretically be solved by installing this version of iOS, but unfortunately they continue to give users headaches, one of the main problems being represented by Bluetooth connectivity.

Unfortunately it seems that some users have iOS 8.3 noticed after installing the update that they cannot connect various accessories to iDevices via Bluetooth, that they cannot connect iDevices to cars or other types of electronic devices, or that a Bluetooth connection made with certain accessories, cars, etc., is interrupted without any explanation.

To solve these problems there are three quite simple solutions, and only the last one can guarantee that the problem will be 100% solved.

Deleting the connected device

iOS 8.3 Bluetooth Troubleshooting

The first step you can take to try to solve the Bluetooth problems of iOS 8.3 is to delete an already connected device using the steps below:

  1. Access the menu Settings > Bluetooth, Configurations > Bluetooth.
  2. Activate the Bluetooth connection if it is not active.
  3. Look for the device you are having problems with and press the round circle with an i in the middle.
  4. Now select the Forget This Device option from the top of the screen.
  5. Reconnect to that device

Resetting network settings

iOS 8.3 Bluetooth Troubleshooting

The second step you can take in an attempt to solve Bluetooth problems in iOS 8.3 is to reset all network settings, this includes deleting all data on devices ever connected via Bluetooth to your terminals, but also deleting all passwords of Wi-Fi hotspots to which you have ever been connected.

  1. Access Settings> General> Reset, Settings > General > Reset.
  2. Choose the option Reset Network Settings, Reset Network Settings.
  3. Confirm the alerts displayed by iOS and reconnect all Bluetooth devices to your iDevice.

Performing a restore

If none of the above two methods work for you, then you have no other solution but to perform a restore of your iDevice, but this without restoring a previously made backup, because there is a very high chance that the problems will be imported through backup, so you won't solve the problem.

To do a restore follow the steps below, but considering the above recommendation, you will lose all the data from the terminals, so do not follow the process unless you are sure and before that it would be advisable to make a backup on the PC using the backup option in iTunes.

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. Connect your terminal to the computer.
  3. Press the iTunes Restore button and wait for iOS 8.3 to be downloaded, if you have not already downloaded it to your PCs.

Having said that, please let me know if any of the methods solved your problems, if you had them.
