Angela Ahrendts has been senior vice president of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), who leads the retail division within the company, i.e. the division that manages all the physical and online stores of those in Cupertino. Angela Ahrendts is the former CEO of the luxury retailer Burberry and according to an American publication, she was the highest paid female manager in the US last year.

Based on the data collected by the publication, Ahrendts would have received money and shares worth 105.5 million dollars from the Apple company, but only a part of these shares will be able to be sold next year, the rest in the following years. Angela Ahrendts is 54 years old and her appointment as senior vice president of Apple represented a first for those from Cupertino, she being the first woman to occupy such a position within Apple.

The former chief executive officer of London-based fashion retailer Burberry Group Plc was awarded $82.6 million in 2014, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Ahrendts, 54, joined the world's most valuable company in May 2014 and became the first woman on its management team. Ahrendts's pay included a sign-on bonus and a make-whole grant for awards left behind at Burberry. The pay package is currently valued at $105.5 million. Josh Rosenstock, a spokesman for Apple, would not comment on her compensation.

Considering that Angela Ahrendts occupies the first position in the list of female managers with the highest salaries/compensations in 2014, in second place we find Safra Catz, the CFO of Oracle, benefiting from 71.2 million dollars. Finally, in third place we have the female CEO of Lockheed Martin Corp., with remuneration totaling 36.7 million dollars.

In conclusion, female managers in the US had a very good year by almost every measure.
