Apple will sell bonds worth 2 billion dollars in Japan

Apple JapanApple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will sell bonds of over 2 billion dollars, or 250 billion yen, in Japan, the move being confirmed by documentation filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in the USA. This federal agency oversees all economic transactions made on the stock markets and beyond, so Apple had to register its actions with it before doing them in Japan.

According to this official documentation, Apple is selling the bonds with an interest rate of 0.350%, they will expire on June 10, 2020, and the interest will be paid semi-annually on June 10 and December 10, starting with December of this year. The bonds put up for sale in Japan can be bought both by local investors and by international investors, so those from the USA will probably also take advantage of the opportunity.

According to Apple, the sale of bonds has the role of financing the redemption of shares, dividend payments, financing current expenses, acquisitions and debt payments to various entities. Those from Goldman Sachs International and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International will organize the sale of Apple's bonds, and if you happen to be interested in it, you can find out more information on their websites.

The Apple company has a monetary reserve of over 170 billion dollars, but it is used to generate income through bond sales, leaving most of its reserve in bank accounts and investments.
