Google Chrome will automatically improve laptop battery life

Google Chrome battery autonomy improvementGoogle Chrome will automatically improve the battery autonomy of laptops, the Google company implementing in its browser a modification intended to solve the main problem of its program. Extremely many users of Google Chrome complain about two main things, the excessive consumption of RAM memory and affecting the autonomy of the laptop battery, and those from Google have found a method to solve at least one of these two problems.

In the image above you can see Google's solution for battery autonomy, the American company creating a software that automatically disables flash content on pages to reduce resource consumption and implicitly battery autonomy. Google collaborated with Adobe for this system, it detecting flash content from a certain page and disabling the one that is not really that important.

When you're on a webpage that runs Flash, we'll intelligently pause content (like Flash animations) that aren't central to the webpage, while keeping central content (like a video) playing without interruption. If we accidentally pause something you were interested in, you can just click it to resume playback. This update significantly reduces power consumption, allowing you to surf the web longer before having to hunt for a power outlet.

According to Google, the new function seriously reduces resource consumption and significantly improves laptop battery life, or at least this is the result of Google's tests. For now, the novelty is available in the beta versions of Google Chrome, but it will be offered to the public after another testing period, which aims to verify the existence of possible problems with various web pages or laptop configurations.

Unfortunately, the Google company does not provide details regarding the possible increase in autonomy that a user can gain following this change, so it remains to be seen to what extent the option is useful to you or not.
