Apple may launch new radio stations for Beats in Apple Music

Beats 1 Radio stationBeats 1 Radio has long been considered to be the main differentiating element between Apple Music and other audio streaming services and it seems that the radio station is hugely successful, at least for now.

According to Apple's partners, Beats 1 Radio is the component Apple Music which is the most successful so far, and those from Apple have the opportunity to create new radio stations without having to renegotiate the contracts with their record label partners in any way.

According to the sources of this information, record companies receive more money from Apple Music than from Pandora for listening to online radio stations, so the launch of new radio stations could prove to be extremely profitable for the company's partners.

In this idea, the Apple company could launch new radio stations such as Beats 2 or 3 in various regions of the world to transmit non-stop LIVE instead of 12 hours, as is happening now, but of course Apple could also launch stations of season radio, but it remains to be seen what the company will decide.

As part of the deal it struck with the major labels for Apple Music Radio, Apple has licenses for up to five additional stations like Beats 1, without having to renegotiate with the labels. That means Apple could launch a Beats 2 station headquartered in Australia or Asia, allowing it to provide live radio around the clock (Beats 1 is only live 12 hours a day). Or Apple could take a more targeted approach and produce holiday stations.

The interesting part of this information is that the launch of Apple Music would not have affected sales made through the iTunes Store for music, but it would have significantly reduced song downloads made through the store, with most users preferring to stream through Apple Music.

Having said that, Beats 1 Radio is proving to be a success and the main reason why Apple Music is used by many people, it being a differentiating element including for Apple's partners.
