Macs continue to grow in sales

Mac sales growthMacs continue to record better and better sales, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), being credited with an increase in sales that is higher than that of competitors selling PCs in the US at the moment.

According to some preliminary data provided by a PC sales monitoring agency, in the US the Apple company would have sold 2.5 million Macs, up 7.5% compared to the same period last year, the figure representing half of the sales global.

Higher sales than Apple were recorded by HP and Dell, but in percentage terms the biggest increase was from Lenovo, they sold 22% more PCs, even though the entire market registered an increase of only 1.3% of sales in Q3 2015, ASUS having the biggest losses.

When it comes to global sales, the Apple company ranks 4th in the top of PC sales with total sales of 5.6 million units, with an increase of 1.5% compared to the same period last year, Dell registering a increases by 0.5%.

In the image above, you can see the estimated sales of PC manufacturers, Apple, and notice that only Apple and Dell recorded slight increases in sales, while the rest of the manufacturers only recorded decreases, Acer being the most affected.

In total, the global PC market decreased by 7.7% in Q3 2015, more precisely, 6 million PCs were sold less than in the same period last year, the PC market being in a continuous decline for several years.
