iPhone 6S - sales lower than estimates

iphone 6s salesiPhone 6S has lower sales than the estimates made by the Apple company before September, so that those from Cupertino would have recently made the decision to reduce orders for components by 10%.

A 10% discount for the number of components purchased from partners does not necessarily mean that the number of units produced by Foxconn will be lower than the one ordered by the Apple company, because the stock of components could be sufficient to supports production in normal parameters.

Despite this, analysts are of the opinion that iPhone 6S sales are lower than the estimates made by the Apple company, and this is because very few applications of the App Store benefit from the 3D Touch function that those from Cupertino promoted so strongly.

According to the same analysts, Apple would produce less than 80 million units iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in Q4 2015, but also that Apple expects to sell 20 million units less in the entire initial year of availability of the two terminals.

Apple has slashed orders for hardware components by up to 10%, probably because of weak demand for the iPhone 6S. The analysts estimate that Apple will build fewer than 80 million units of the iPhone 6S in the fourth quarter of this year, and they have lowered their expectations for units built next year to 222 million from 242 million.

Annual changes in component orders and the number of units produced by Apple's partners are seen as indicators of weak sales recorded by the Cupertino terminals, so now analysts present everything in the same way.

Tim Cook warned that this kind of changes in Apple's plans are not a direct indicator of how the terminals are doing on the market, but analysts know one thing, the reduction of orders for components or for the production of terminals is a direct result of poor sales.
