RCS & RDS completes the coverage of the 57 "white" localities provided for in the auction for the award of the license in the 900 Mhz spectrum, organized by ANCOM in 2012

RCS & RDS announces that on April 05, 2016, it completed the coverage with mobile communications services of all 57 rural towns according to the license related to the 900 MHz spectrum.

Users of the Digi Mobil service in the 57 localities now benefit from 3G coverage thanks to the investments the company made in 3G network coverage, through technologies from the HSPA family.

Following the 2012 procedure by which licenses were awarded in the 800 and 900 Mhz spectrum, ANCOM established the obligation of the operators to cover, until April 5, 2016, a number of localities with mobile broadband services "white", localities without coverage.

RCS & RDS invests in the development of 3G and 4G networks to cover as many localities as possible, so that as many users as possible can benefit from Digi Mobil services, with the result that, by 2019, its own 3G network will cover 98% of the population. At the same time, the company is actively involved in the development of telecommunications in Romania, being a supporter of technological progress and innovation that should be accessible to all categories of consumers.
