Siri SDK and a competitor for Google Home will be presented at WWDC 2016

WWDC 2016 is the annual event organized by the Apple company for developers of applications for the iOS platform, in which they will be presented iOS 10, OS X 10.12, new Macs, and next to them we should see an SDK for Crab and a competitor for Google Home or Amazon Echo.

For the first time in the almost 5 years of Siri's existence, the Apple company will offer application developers the opportunity to use the Americans' personal assistant to provide voice command systems in their own applications, something that has been requested for a very long time.

Practically, any of the applications in the App Store will be able to integrate support for Siri, and users will be able to use voice commands to order food, order a taxi, search the Internet and many, many others that are now unavailable.

Apple's change of strategy is based on the fact that this functionality is necessary for iOS 10 to be able to compete effectively with the Android platform, and developers will be able to benefit from everything that an SDK for Siri offers starting this year.

Regarding the competitor for Google Home or Amazon Echo, the Apple company wants to launch a physical device that implements functionality similar to that of Google or Amazon products, but probably with something additional.

This new gadget from the Apple company would contain a speaker, would be connected to the Internet, integration with HomeKit would be extremely important, as well as support for AirPlay in order to allow listening to music through it.

Although the new SDK for Siri will be presented at WWDC 2016 and will be available to developers from then on, no one knows yet when the competitor for Google Now will be launched, but through it users should be able to control smart home gadgets by voice commands and not only that.
