Bluetooth 5 will be announced next week, it could end up in the iPhone 7

Bluetooth 5 is going to be officially announced next week in a dedicated conference, the new version of the communication standard is going to offer data transfer speeds up to 4 times higher than until now, the range is also going to be doubled compared to Bluetooth 4.2.

Bluetooth 5 it will most likely also bring an additional reduction in the energy consumption of the electronic products in which it will be implemented, but more details will be announced next week by the representatives of the group that develops it.

Because I live in a world where there are many smart gadgets, Bluetooth 5 is going to offer more extensive support for such devices that can be mounted in our homes or outside them, developers being able to create new products that benefit from Bluetooth connectivity.

For now, it is not known if Bluetooth 5 will require the use of new chips in smartphones, tablets or computers, or if a simple software update of the existing ones will bring support, but it is unlikely that things will be so simple that an update solve the problem.

On the technical side, Bluetooth 5 has a lot to offer. As previously announced, it will double the range and quadruple the speed of low energy Bluetooth transmissions. But there's more. Bluetooth 5 will also provide significant new functionality for connectionless services like location-relevant information and navigation.

Although it is not officially known for now, there is a chance that Bluetooth 5 will be implemented in iPhone 7, or maybe even Apple Watch 2 or new Macs, the Apple company being part of the group that develops the Bluetooth standard and always implementing new technologies.

If Apple will not implement Bluetooth 5 in the iPhone 7, although it is very hard to believe, then we will have to wait until the iPhone 7S to be able to enjoy this technology, but I think that everything will be offered right now for us .
