iOS 10 takes up less space, freeing up a few GB for users

iOS 10 takes up to 8 GB less space in the iPhone with 128 GB storage space, the change allowing the installation of more applications.

A very interesting change of iOS 10, discovered by some Reddit users, suggests that the new version of the operating system could take up less space in users' devices, in the case of terminals with 128 GB of storage space, the gain being approximately 8 GB.

In the image below you can see that an iPhone with 128 GB of storage space has 113/114 GB free after installing iOS 9.3.2, but after installing iOS 10 the terminal remains with 121 GB of storage space available for use, the difference being substantial.

Basically, iOS 10 consumes up to 7% less space from the storage media of iDevices, and depending on the model the user has, we could talk about a few hundred MB less, or maybe even a few GB, which will definitely be useful for applications or pictures.

Normally, an iPhone 6 Plus, for example, with 16 GB of storage space still has 11.8 available, 4.2 being occupied, but in the case of models with 128 GB of storage space, the difference between free and occupied space was much greater than in the case cheaper models, and now Apple seems to have fixed the problem.

Practically, this change is beneficial for those who have an iPhone or iPad with a lot of storage space included, because the models with limited storage space do not have much room to offer anything extra, considering that the operating system is quite large of the sea

Apple did not talk about any change regarding the size of iOS 10 after the installation in the terminals, but it would not be excluded that the change presented in the images will remain valid even after the official launch of iOS 10, in the fall of this year.
