According to Mashable, Facebook will look different in 5 years. Nicola Mendelsohn, vice president of the division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, made a prediction and claims that, most likely, in five years, the only relevant content on Facebook will be video, while written messages will disappear.
She believes that a clip represents "the best way to tell stories in this world” and that “hit helps us to digest much more information”. Thus, it is possible that posts and written messages will become history, at least on Facebook.
If we stop for a moment to think, we notice that Mark Zuckerberg's company has already taken some steps in this direction and the algorithm that displays your posts in the Feed puts a much greater emphasis on video clips, to the detriment of classic posts and statuses or pictures .
