Apple wants to buy Formula 1

formula 1 is one of the most popular competitions on the planet, and according to recent information, those from Apple would be interested in buying part of the rights to it, Bernie Ecclestone announcing last year that his part of the rights to Formula 1, it representing 35% and being controlled by CVC Capitol Partners.

Last year his side Bernie Ecclestone it is worth approximately 8.6 billion dollars and quite a few entities have rushed to make offers to buy it, but so far no sale has taken shape, but those from Apple seem to have made the latest offer to acquire a third of the rights to formula 1.

For now, the information is offered only with the title of rumor and if it is real, then the interest of those from Apple is to include live broadcasts of the races formula 1 on Apple TV, maybe also in an online TV subscription that they have been trying to launch for more than a year, without much success.

Since last year, the Apple company has started looking for partners to create series and TV shows to broadcast through Apple Music and Apple TV, and the inclusion of Formula 1 in its portfolio could bring many fans to its online services, but the prestige of the company will definitely increase.

The whisper is that the latest bidder is Apple Inc., which is a company with $161 billion in net cash at the moment, despite having spent $117 billion on share repurchases and $46 billion on dividends in recent years. Apple doesn't typically make big purchases but usually buys small business and incorporates the technology into its products but the viewing habits of the world are changing, with traditional broadcasters, cable and satellite networks under threat from "over-the-top" content providers .

Although the information seems strange and for many it seems false, you have to think that Apple is no longer a simple company producing smartphones, tablets and computers, but one that invests massively in creating digital content for all these products, so buying shows, series, or even competitions of this kind is not excluded.
