After them come the models with 16 GB of storage space, these being cheaper but offering space that can hardly meet the requirements of many users, who, apart from the applications installed from the App Store, are in a hurry to take pictures or video clips, and they don't have enough space to be saved in devices.
In the third fiscal quarter of 2015, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were the undisputed leaders in sales in Apple's offer, but their place was quickly taken by the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus after the launch, the models with 128 GB of storage space registering fairly consistent sales, according to these data.
Starting with March, things start to become more interesting, iPhone SE starting to register quite good sales, stealing from the sales of iPhone 5S, iPhone 6/Plus or iPhone 6S/Plus, the device being bought mainly by those who had old models of the iPhone and wanted something new, but not with a very large screen.
Practically, at the moment the iPhone SE represents approximately 16% of the total number of active iPhones in the US, the percentage being quite high if we consider that we are still talking about a terminal with a 4-inch screen that theoretically should not have presented interest for Apple customers, but reveals the fact that there is a market segment ignored by Americans.
The information casts a slightly different light on how people choose to buy iPhones, but we're talking about the US here, so things could be different in other areas of the world, especially when it comes to sales of models with 64 GB or 128 GB storage space, they are expensive.
