watchOS 3 was released for the Apple Watch this evening, with Apple rolling out the update to all of its smartwatches worldwide. watchOS 3 is the third major update offered for the Apple Watch in a year and a half, with the Apple company trying to solve many of the complaints reported by users.
watchOS 3 will be available both on the current models of the Apple Watch, as well as for Watch Apple 2, which will be launched by Apple on Friday worldwide. watchOS 3 is an update expected by many Apple Watch owners because it comes with a series of very important improvements offered by Apple.
Here are the most important watchOS 3 news available today:
- dramatic improvement of application performance;
- the implementation of a special dock for very fast opening of the most used applications;
- new dials to see the information in an improved format, but also a simpler way to switch between them;
- the option to share activity rings with friends or family;
- implementation of support for the use of the application even by people in wheelchairs;
- the option to see 5 measurements for fitness sessions: distance, pace, active calories, heart rate and elapsed time;
- implementing the Breathing application, which has the role of relaxing us through breathing exercises;
- implementing the functions of iOS 10 for the Messages application, in order to send animations for the entire screen;
- the function to unlock a Mac;
- the option to control the whole house through the Home application;
- making emergency calls.
watchOS 3 can be installed by anyone only if they have iOS 10 already installed in the iPhone, the Watch application displaying the new version of the watchOS operating system in the Software Update section.
