According to the Samsung company, 26 of the reports made to it regarding Galaxy Note 7 terminals whose batteries exploded, turned out to be totally false. In 12 of these cases the problem was not with the terminals, in 7 the victims could not be contacted, and in another 7 incidents the customers refused to ask for money, or said they threw away the terminals.
Samsung talks about 26 cases in which it received reports from customers that the Galaxy Note 7 terminals exploded, but it does not say how many of those reported by the press are real. Those from Samsung said that they received more than 100 reports, in total, regarding exploding Galaxy Note 7 terminals, but this figure was a few weeks ago.
According to those from Samsung, including a customer from Romania reported an exploded Galaxy Note 7, the case being one of the false ones reported. Romania is part of 12 countries in which Samsung stated that it received false reports regarding Galaxy Note 7 terminals that exploded, so there were many people who tried to take advantage of the situation.
A fake Galaxy Note 7 case was reported from Romania
In Canada, a person used a picture of an exploded Galaxy Note 7 to make a false report to Samsung, which did not amuse the Koreans. In Singapore, another person claimed that the Galaxy Note 7 terminal exploded during use and was thrown into a car, which allegedly caught fire, but he could not present evidence for this incident.
"In the US, where 1 million devices were recalled, nine such cases were reported. There were three in South Korea, two in France, and one each from the UK, Canada, Singapore, Philippines, Turkey, Vietnam, Croatia, Romania, Iraq, Lebanon, the UAE, and the Czech Republic.”
Basically, Samsung is now trying to calm the world and show that the Galaxy Note 7 had fewer problems than those initially reported, but it remains to be seen how many will believe.
