iPhone 7 – problems with the camera on some units

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have a problem that affects the focus of the camera during the recording of photos or videos.

Some units of iPhone 7 they have problems with the camera, or better said the Camera application of iOS 10 has problems focusing for recording photos. We are talking here about a problem encountered in a small number of iPhone 7 terminals, but of which the Apple company is aware at the moment and it seems that it is replacing the affected units.

The problem manifests itself quite simply by the darkening of the screen after the user focuses on a dark area after having initially focused on a lighted area. If, while trying to take a picture, you focus first on a light source, and then on a dark area, the entire screen of the Camera application will darken when you touch the screen.

Considering the way the problem manifests itself, it seems quite clear that we are talking about an iOS 10 bug and not an iPhone 7 camera problem. If everything had been an iPhone 7 camera problem, then this would no longer be focused at all instead of blacking out the screen when focusing on two completely opposite points.

Since Apple knows about the existence of this problem, it is clear that enough customers have requested the replacement of the terminals that were brought to the Apple Store with this problem. Considering that not many people complain about the existence of the problem, we can draw the conclusion that it affects only a small part of the delivered terminals.

The problem affects both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but I haven't encountered it yet.
