iPod turned 15 years old

On October 23, it was 15 years since the iPod was presented by Steve Jobs and then launched on global markets.

iPod, one of the most important products launched by the Apple company, turned 15 yesterday and exists in a completely different world than the one in which it appeared. In 2001, the iPod was a revolutionary product with which the Apple company changed the world we lived in, but a lot has changed in the meantime.

Steve Jobs presented the iPod, surprising everyone with its functions and the ability to store music, and it ended up conquering the entire planet in the following years. The iPod helped the Apple company to substantially increase its sales and gave it the courage to start developing the iPhone, a product that was based on the iPod.

In the 15 years of availability, the iPod was replaced by the iPhone in Apple's offer and people's minds, its functionality becoming irrelevant in a world where we can listen to music on the Internet. iPod sales have dropped so much that Apple doesn't even report them anymore, and the product will soon be completely removed from the American company's offer.

Despite the normal situation in which the iPod has reached now, the product has changed a lot in the world we live in, but it had to become useless at some point. iPod was and will always remain an iconic product of the Apple company, a product that started a technological revolution, but in today's world it has lost its relevance.
