A Romanian manager of Samsung prefers tablets in schools instead of toilets

The Romanian manager of Samsung, Cristian Cojocaru, claims that he prefers to have tablets in schools, from the rural menu, instead of toilets.

The past few days, a series of conferences took place in Romania in which Cristian Cojocaru, manager of Samsung, was present and said nonsense in front of the whole world. His nonsense became international news, he said that it is preferable to have tablets in schools before toilets, referring to the rural environment and the toilets in the schoolyards.

El said that bringing toilets to schools will not make children smarter, but using tablets will definitely help them learn better. For several years, those at Samsung have been running projects aimed at bringing tablets to more and more schools in Romania, but statements like this show what is happening inside Samsung at the moment.

There is currently a great need for new computers in schools, or even tablets, which would facilitate the educational process of students. On the other hand, going to the toilet like in the Middle Ages is also one of the big problems of many rural schools, and choosing to buy tablets instead of using normal toilets is a very difficult choice.

Of course, for Samsung everything boils down to profit, so the statements of the Romanian manager are in tune with the problems that Samsung has at the moment. Probably this kind of thinking was behind the launch of the Galaxy Note 7 with exploding batteries, because it's better to launch the phone first and then check if it's a bomb or not.

"I think it is preferable to have tablets in schools first and only then to solve the toilet in the yard. It's a tough choice. But I think it's the right choice because if we bring the toilet from the yard inside we don't make ourselves any smarter. But our children will be smarter if they have access to information."

In any case, the Romanian manager of Samsung apologized for the unfortunate statement, but the mentality remains and will be reflected in the way the company works in Romania.

UPDATED: The busy manager also published a message apologizing for the statements.

"I'm sorry for yesterday's unfortunate expression, during the ZF Digital conference. I apologize and retract my statement. I strongly believe that all children deserve decent living conditions and education. At the same time, I believe that technology is an essential pillar of education, which will have a long-term impact on the development of society. I made this statement in the context of a discussion about the evolution recorded in rural areas, I apologize if I hurt someone with my statement and I would like to reaffirm that I do not consider the other problems facing the educational environment to be less important."
