McLaren confirms talks with Apple

McLaren, one of the most famous car manufacturers, was at one point in discussions with Apple for a possible serious investment in the company. The first information regarding these discussions appeared two months ago from two different and reliable sources, and now the McLaren president has also confirmed them.

He claims that Apple representatives visited the McLaren factories and investigated the assembly processes that the manufacturer is currently using. Despite the advanced discussions between the two companies, a final proposal for a possible investment, or even acquisition, was not made by the Apple company.

Today's confirmation comes after a few months ago McLaren stated that it was not in talks with Apple, so then it lied, only to now confirm everything. I told you then that the rumors still have a real source and McLaren is not telling the truth, and the president of the company confirmed this today, but also the fact that a collaboration is impossible.

The decision of those from Apple to give up a possible investment in McLaren is most likely based on the cancellation of the company's plans to manufacture another car. Now, it remains to be seen what Apple will do in terms of the project during the development of its car, but it is clear that McLaren is no longer part of its future plans.

"There wasn't a bid from Apple. They visited. We talked. We talked about what they did. We talked about what we did. They toured. It never matured to a definitive proposition."
