iOS 10.2 is not faster than iOS 10.1.1

iOS 10.2 is not faster than iOS 10.1.1 in a series of performance tests that you can see in this article.

Unfortunately, what I saw in the last beta versions of iOS 10.2 it turned into reality in the final version, and its performances are not impressive. As you will see in the video clips below, the difference in performance between iOS 10.2 and iOS 10.1.1 is non-existent, as I told you it could happen in the end.

If in the beta versions of iOS 10.2 the Apple company offered surprisingly good performances, even much better than those in iOS 10.1.1, in the final version things are not like that. Unfortunately, there is no difference for the better in the performances offered by iOS 10.2 and iOS 10.1.1, so don't expect anything like that at the moment.

It was expected that Apple would not increase the performance of the final version of iOS 10.2 compared to iOS 10.1.1 because the same thing happens with every iOS release. More precisely, Apple does not substantially increase the performance of the new version compared to the previous one, and this is also visible in the synthetic performance tests.

In conclusion, iOS 10.2 will work as fast as iOS 10.1.1 on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, so theoretically the battery life should be the same. I will talk about autonomy in a future article, so for now we are only left with the disappointment of the lack of changes in terms of performance.
