The iPhone 8 will have an OLED screen due to limited production

The iPhone 8 will have an OLED screen due to the limited amount of components produced by Samsung, Apple's only supplier.

iPhone 8 it will be the only Apple smartphone from 2017 that will have an integrated OLED screen, and that's not because Apple doesn't want to offer the technology in other products. In reality, it seems that the limited production of OLED screens forces Apple to offer this new type of screen only for the iPhone 8, not for the other two models of the iPhone 7S.

We know that in 2017 Apple will release an iPhone 8 with an OLED screen that covers the entire front panel, but also brings other major changes, but two models of the iPhone 7S will also be released. These two models of the iPhone 7S will not enjoy the OLED screen of the iPhone 8, but will still have LCD screens, due to the limited production of Apple's partners.

Samsung is the company that will produce almost all OLED screens for the iPhone 8, while also ensuring production for its own products. Those from Apple are obliged to buy OLED screens from Samsung in order to be able to launch the iPhone 8, but the quantities will be limited anyway due to the fact that Samsung produces for its own use, but also for other companies.

Although for the LCD screens in the old iPhone models, the Apple company has a multitude of suppliers, for the OLED one in the iPhone 8 it will be based almost exclusively on Samsung. Those from Samsung have a monopoly on the production of OLED screens, and the rest of the competitors cannot produce nearly as many units to cover the necessary demand for the iPhone 8.

In this idea, Apple is again limited by its partners regarding the implementation of new components in terminals, the iPhone 8 being affected in the same way as in other years, other components affected other terminals. Apple's partners did not prepare for iPhone 8, focusing mainly on the production of LCD screens, but here things are changing.

Having said that, the iPhone 8 will also be available in limited quantities due to the lack of OLED screens for purchase in global markets. We are basically talking about an endless story in which Apple does not have enough components to cover the demand on the market, and the iPhone 8 will continue a "movie" that we have known for many years.
