iPhone 8 will be released late in 2017

The iPhone 8 is to be released later than usual due to the production difficulty for the OLED screen with the new 3D Touch.

iPhone 8 it will arrive on the market much later than some of us would hope, the Apple company having different plans than what many of its customers would like. According to some information that appeared today, Apple's partners would prepare to deliver components for iPhone 8 only in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2017, but not earlier.

TPH Holding is the company from which some of the information comes, it will supply touch sensors for the iPhone 8 AMOLED screen only in Q4 2017. Nissha Printing will accompany it, but the latter company will supply at least 80% of these components for iPhone 8, but things could change by the fall of 2017.

Normally, if the iPhone 8 will have been released in September 2017, then the components should go into production between June and July. Mass production should begin in August, but Apple's iPhone 8 partners seem to be preparing for a much later release than usual, and there are good reasons for that.

According to Apple's partners, the production of the iPhone 8 screen turns out to be much more difficult because of the new 3D Touch module created for it. This component will be more expensive than in the case of the current iPhone models, with Apple paying $15 per 3D Touch module for the iPhone 8 instead of the $9 it pays now.

If the production of the OLED screen for iPhone 8 is more difficult, then it is easy to understand why the manufacturing of the new smartphone will start much later. If this turns out to be true, then the iPhone 8 will reach the global markets at least 2 months after the iPhone 7S will be officially launched by those from Cupertino for us.

"Touch panel maker TPH Holding will begin to supply thin film-based touch sensors for use in a new iPhone equipped with AMOLED display panels in the fourth quarter of 2017. As AMOLED panels should be matched with Out-Cell (add-on) touch solution, 3D Touch modules for use in the new iPhone equipped with AMOLED panels involves a more complicated manufacturing process and adoption of thin film-based touch sensors."

Every time Apple has made major changes to the iPhone series, there have also been problems with production, and things will not change for the iPhone 8. In this idea, the Apple company will have very limited quantities of the iPhone 8 at the time of launch, and the production it should also start much later than usual.
