Apple: WikiLeaks attacks iPhone users

In recent weeks, WikiLeaks has published over 10.000 secret CIA documents that describe vulnerabilities used by the agency to exploit iOS and macOS operating systems over time. Apple says that everything leaked by WikiLeaks has been covered by its security updates, but it's hard to say how much truth there is here.

Although those from WikiLeaks are open to collaborating with any company in order to secure their products, Apple has a completely different attitude. Apple claims that WikiLeaks is trying to harm iPhone users by releasing these documents that show vulnerabilities in the iOS operating system used in these products.

Apple expects WikiLeaks to send it the vulnerabilities discovered in the CIA documents and does not want to collaborate with them to discover them. Apple does not support the activity of those from WikiLeaks and states that the disclosure of these documents endangers the users of iPhone terminals all over the world, the same being true for the Mac.

Of course, the attitude of those at Apple is wrong and that by analyzing the information held by WikiLeaks, it can discover a lot about the vulnerabilities it does not know about. It was expected that Apple would not easily cooperate with WikiLeaks and that the public cannot support their activity, so it remains to be seen if things will change.

"We have given them instructions to submit any information they wish through our normal process under our standard terms. Thus far, we have not received any information from them that is not in the public domain. We are tireless defenders of our users' security and privacy, but we do not condone theft or coordinate with those that threaten to harm our users."
