Apple tells us which iPhones and iPads will not work with iOS 11

iOS 11 will be released by the Apple company in beta version at the beginning of June, and for 3 months it will be tested with application developers and iDevice users from all over the world. Then we should find out which iPhone or iPad will not run iOS 11 this year, but the Apple company has already told us what it intends to do this year and which users will be forgotten in 2017.

Apple launched the new application the other day Clips for its iDevices, and this is not compatible with the only terminals that support iOS 10 and have 32-bit chips. More specifically, the Clips application cannot be installed on iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, and iPad 4, all of these products having 6-bit A32 chips, the last ones manufactured by Apple before the release of the 7-bit A64 chip.

Right before the release of the Clips application, Apple did not release the beta version of iOS 10.3.2 for these terminals and withdrew the OTA version of iOS 10.3 for them. Combining all this with the age of the devices and the decision made for the Clips application, it is as clear as possible that Phone 5, iPhone 5C, and iPad 4 are going to be forgotten this year by the Apple company and will not run iOS 11.

If we look at things logically, it was quite normal for the Apple company to make iOS 11 incompatible at least with the iPhone 5 based on its age, but it seems that it wants to completely get rid of terminals with 32-bit chips. iOS 11 is going to be the first version of the iOS operating system that is available exclusively for iDevices that have chips with 64-bit architecture, this is a major change.

Even if things have not yet become official, the Apple company gives us to understand from now on that all those who want to use iOS 11 should give up these three Apple terminals.
