The iPhone is extremely popular among young Americans

iPhone terminals have always been popular among young people in the USA, and a recent study reveals that in 2017 the product has the greatest popularity of the entire survey period. According to this study, 76% of young Americans currently own an iPhone, while 81% of them claim that the next mobile phone they intend to buy will be an iPhone.

The percentages now are higher than those of 69% for young people who owned iPhone terminals in the spring of 2016 and 75% for those who intended to buy one. American analysts believe that Apple's intention to implement an OLED screen in the iPhone 8 in 2017 boosts young people's interest in the new smartphone, the glass case, wireless charging and the new A11 chip also helping.

Apart from the iPhone, young people are increasingly interested in smartwatches, and here the Apple Watch wins the most of all the models sold in the US. 13% of the young people asked in the spring of 2017 said that they intend to buy an Apple Watch from the Apple company in the next period, the percentage being higher than the 11% registered in the same period of 2016.

Apple Watch ranks second in the list of the most popular fitness bracelets among young Americans, Fitbit still being their first choice. Those from Apple have tried to implement a multitude of fitness functions in the Apple Watch, but so far they have not managed to conquer the first position in terms of the purchase intention of young Americans.

"Apple continued to grow smartphone share among teenagers with 76% of teens owning an iPhone vs 74% in Fall-16. We view the survey as a positive data point on iPhone 7 demand and excitement around the upcoming launch of the 10th anniversary iPhone (iPhone X).”
