The iPhone prototypes on which the iOS keyboard was made

The anniversary of 10 years of the existence of the iPhone reveals many of the secrets of the development of the most popular smartphone on the planet, both in 2007 and today. The image below was published by Ken Kocienda, a former employee of the Apple company for 16 years, he developed the virtual keyboard of iOS for iPhone terminals.

A former senior vice president of Apple explained a week ago that Steve Jobs created competition among the teams that developed the iPhone to produce the virtual keyboard. The current one was chosen from multiple ideas that the Apple engineers had, some of them being quite good, others very bad, but in the end only one was chosen for implementation.

Considering that there was also a need for devices on which it could be tested and perfected, some prototypes of the iPhone were created, and in the image below you can see two of them. You can notice that they had different cases, one resembling to a certain extent the one that was going to be used in the final version of Apple's smartphone.
