Watch Apple 4 it was launched by the Apple company last weekend, and in Romania you can pre-order it available here, but the new smartphone model has been disassembled. We are talking about a disassembly of the Apple Watch 4 that revealed to us that the batteries integrated in these new models have smaller capacities than those used in previous models.
Apple Watch 4 comes with a battery that offers 0.86 Whr and 1.12 Whr respectively for the models with 40mm and 44mm screens, the differences being 19.7% and 16.5% compared to the previous series. Despite this, Apple has promised that the Apple Watch 4 will offer exactly the same battery life as the Apple Watch 3, but that remains to be seen.
Apple Watch 4 comes with a SMALLER battery than Series 3
Apple Watch 4 should offer approximately 18 hours of autonomy for use, every day, and this means that it will have to be charged at night, just like the previous models. Apple Watch 4 has implemented a new S4 chip, which seems to handle better the management of the energy available in the watches' batteries, and this is where autonomy comes from.
- Apple Watch Series 3 (42mm): 1.34 watt-hours
- Apple Watch Series 4 (44mm): 1.12 watt-hours
- Apple Watch Series 3 (38mm): 1.07 watt-hours
- Apple Watch Series 4 (40mm): 0.86 watt-hours
Maintaining battery autonomy for Apple Watch 4 was also possible because the new smartwatch has an integrated screen that consumes less energy, so users can enjoy what they had before. Unfortunately, the Apple company did not manage to increase the battery life of the Apple Watch series, but at least the users benefit from the same experience.
