E-ALERT it continues to be tested during this period by the IGSU to determine if the system is sufficiently well prepared to be used in case of real emergency situations, but the Romanians are not too satisfied with it. In a press conference held today by the authorities, the undersecretary of state within the MAI, Raed Arafat, stated that Romanians complained about the fact that they receive RO-ALERT messages on their own phones, something we discussed before.

RO-ALERT was intended to send emergency alerts in certain areas of the country, but Romanians who do not know how the system works have started to complain about the fact that the state should not know their phone numbers. People who did not understand that IGSU does not, in fact, need any phone number, started to complain about the fact that RO-ALERT messages should not reach some people's phones, some being very indignant about this thing.

RO-ALERT: ANGRY of Romanians and DANGER Reported

RO-ALERT is seen by others as a possible danger for certain people, Raed Arafat stating that some jurists raised the issue of the risks to which the people who receive the warning messages are exposed. More precisely, certain jurists are of the opinion that some people who receive these RO-ALERT notices could react in a way that could put their bodily integrity, or even their lives in danger, something that should still be seen as an exception, not as a rule.

RO-ALERT started to be tested at the national level since the middle of September, when the website ro-alert.ro was launched, and the tests continue in the areas where no messages have been sent so far. For now, a final conclusion has not been reached regarding the testing of the RO-ALERT system, but it has been announced that support for Apple's iPhone phones will also be available, for which an iOS update is required.
