Apple Wants to Solve an Annoying iPhone Problem

Apple knows to a good extent what are the problems faced by iPhone users, and one that few users have complained about so far has to do with the side buttons. In a recent patent registered by Apple, the company explains the ways through which users will be able to feel the iPhone buttons more easily even when they have the case on the phone.

If you have a case on your iPhone, then it is unlikely that you will feel clearly when you press a side button, and Apple knows this and wants to solve this problem of phones. Apple wants to solve this problem of iPhone cases by including a magnet in their external buttons, when pressed they have a similar sensation to that of pressing a normal button.

Apple can implement technologies like this in their own iPhone cases, but most people need something like this in third-party cases. Of course, no one else outside of Apple will be able to use this technology for cases, so many people will be left without this kind of sensation when they press the side buttons of the iPhone through the case.

An electronic device, comprising: a housing; an actuator unit carried by the housing; and a tactile compensation unit coupled with the actuator unit, wherein at least a threshold actuation force to the actuator unit depresses the actuator unit, the threshold actuation force defining a minimum force to depress the actuator unit, and wherein the tactile compensation unit includes a triggering unit that forms a magnetic circuit with a triggering magnetic element carried by an accessory device that covers the actuator unit and provides an alteration to the threshold application force, the tactile compensation unit providing, in response to the formation of the magnetic circuit, a compensation force that compensates for the alteration to maintain the threshold actuation force.

I don't know how many people are looking forward to the solution of this "problem" that Apple discovered for its iPhone phones, other more serious ones needing to be solved. Those from Apple don't seem too interested in solving them, however, but maybe they will see fit to make the experience of using the iPhone much better than it is currently, for some.
