Vodafone. RADICAL Decision Regarding Huawei Products

Vodafone. A radical decision was taken by the mobile phone operator regarding the products of the Huawei company, here is what it will do in 2019.

Vodafone huawei

Vodafone. A radical decision regarding the company's products Huaweit was taken from him by the famous telecommunications group originally from Great Britain, but it is more than likely not a surprise for many people. We are talking about a decision that those from Vodafone certainly did not take very easily, they declared today that they will stop the activation of new telecommunications equipment from the Chinese in the main networks of the subsidiaries around the world.

Vodafone. This decision was taken by the operator following all the accusations made against the Chinese company, it being in full international scandal started by the USA, which accuses it of being a risk to the national security of many countries. Vodafone will not eliminate the current telecommunications equipment that is the basis of the mobile phone networks in various countries around the world, but it will not use any more from the Chinese, not even for 5G, especially if the problems will not be solved.

Vodafone will no longer install new Huawei equipment in its own networks

Vodafone. Spain is one of the countries mentioned by the CEO of the group as not having new Huawei telecommunications equipment installed, but many other countries also have networks based on this equipment. It is not yet known for what period of time this ban is imposed regarding the equipment of the Huawei company, but we are certainly not talking about a short one, especially since for now it is difficult to say what evidence can be presented against the Chinese.

Vodafone says it will "pause" the deployment of Huawei's telecommunications equipment in its core network until concerns from Western governments have been addressed. We have decided to pause further Huawei in our core while we engage with the various agencies and governments and Huawei just to finalize the situation, of which I feel Huawei is really open and working hard.

Vodafone. After Orange and Deutsche Telekom, it was expected that this operator would do the same, especially since British Telecom did something similar in Great Britain, only for the 5G networks of the future. It is possible that this decision of those from Vodafone will also apply in Romania, where the group has almost 10 million customers, and most probably uses telecommunications equipment including from Huawei, just like other local operators.
