Meanwhile, those from ANCOM did a study to see how many Romanians have heard about the 5G networks that RCS & RDS, and the other telecom companies in Romania, want to launch in the coming months in some cities in the country.

RCS & RDS, according to those from ANCOM, about 34% of the population has so far heard about the 5G networks that will be launched in our country, a very large percentage, but it is not known and few know what benefits it brings. On the other hand, 22% of Romanians have heard about IoT, the Internet of Things, or interconnected objects, the 5G networks prepared by RCS & RDS, and the rest of the operators, going to bring great new experiences to all customers around the world.

RCS & RDS, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom, have customers with high expectations for 5G

RCS & RDS, most of those who have heard about 5G and IoT are young, have higher education, and live in households with average monthly incomes of over 6000 LEI, and they own such an object in the house. After the launch of 5G networks by RCS & RDS, and the rest of the companies, 47% of respondents expect to have better coverage than now, while 31% expect better browsing speeds, and 26% fewer problems of connectivity.

With the implementation of 5G in Romania, 47% of respondents expect better national coverage, 31% a higher speed of downloading/uploading files on the Internet and 26% fewer problems with connectivity. 34% of the Romanian population has heard about 5G, and 22% about the "Internet of Things" (IoT). The most common IoT objects owned by respondents are smart watches/bracelets (2%) and televisions through which other devices can be accessed and/or controlled (2%), the other categories of IoT objects being less common (under 1% every).

RCS & RDS, the launch of 5G networks in Romania will be promoted to a very good extent on the improvements it brings to IoT devices, but this is only a part of everything we will receive thanks to it. RCS & RDS, and the rest of the telecom groups in Romania, will prepare the launch of 5G networks in our country in the following months of this year, and it is possible that by 2020 we will have the opportunity to test their performance, but not necessarily on phones.

RCS & RDS, of all the operators, so far Orange and Vodafone have done public tests in which they demonstrated the capabilities of 5G networks, and Digi Mobil and Telekom will soon show us what they can do.
