Digi Mobil, Orange, Telekom, Vodafone, are the largest telecommunications operators in Romania, but unfortunately they confirmed today a very bad news for the customers who use their services in the country, or outside the country. Starting from 2017, a huge change was imposed in Europe, which allows Digi Mobil customers, or those of other operators, to use their internet benefits, or minutes, in roaming, which they also have in the country where they have contracted the services.
Digi Mobil, and the rest of the companies have various agreements signed with operators from other countries so that their customers can talk on the phone or use the Internet, whether it is 3G or 4G. In 2018, a study was published comparing mobile internet roaming speeds obtained in 2017 by customers from various European countries, and the news for those of Digi Mobil, or of the other operators, was bad, unfortunately for all Romanians.
Digi Mobil, Orange, Telekom, Vodafone offer higher internet speeds in roaming
Digi Mobil, invested in improving the network in Romania, just like the rest, but in 2018, very big changes were also seen in terms of the mobile internet speeds that Romanians recorded in roaming as well. If in 2017 Romanians reached average mobile internet speeds of 21.95 Mbps in roaming, compared to 28.74 Mbps in Romania, here is that in 2019 things have changed a lot for the better, thanks to Digi Mobil, or the other telecommunications companies in the country, plus those from abroad.
Digi Mobil, for 2018 we are talking about a substantial increase in roaming internet speeds, to 30.74 Mbps, compared to 36.64 Mbps in Romania, so the increases were both abroad and in the country. Practically, users of Digi Mobil services, or of other telecom groups, registered an increase of almost 50% in roaming mobile internet speeds in 2018 compared to 2017, while for those in the country the increase was much more moderate, somewhere around 30%, but even so, it is still an increase.
Digi Mobil, together with the rest of the telecommunications companies, constantly tries to offer the best services for clients in Romania, and this seems to be reflected in the benefits we have abroad.
