PC sales Dwindle, Macs still RESIST

pc mac sales

PC sales fell globally by 3 million units in the first fiscal quarter of 2019, and the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is not immune to this negative trend. According to estimates, Mac sales would have decreased by approximately 100.000 - 200.000 units during this period, but Apple's market share increased compared to Q1 2018, as other competitors had much lower sales.

Interestingly, analysts are of the opinion that PC sales went quite well, considering the market conditions, some also blaming Intel for not offering new processors fast enough. Lenovo, HP, and Dell were the only companies with developments contrary to the trend, the first of them registering the highest increase in sales, of no less than 6.8%.

Lenovo still maintains its leading position on the PC market, at a fairly small distance in front of those from HP, but Dell remains very far from both competitors for the time being. Apple remains with sales of 4 million units for its Macs, 3 times less than Lenovo or HP, but it is normal since its products are so expensive.
