RCS & RDS. Vodafone, Telekom, Orange, are the subjects of a huge message aimed at absolutely all Romanians who use the services of these mobile phone operators at the moment in Romania. More precisely, those from ANCOM announced yesterday the capping of the rates that RCS & RDS, and the other mobile operators, can charge for the roaming services they offer to customers in Romania at the moment.
RCS & RDS. We are talking about a ceiling for the rates charged for calling and sending SMS, the rates will be lower starting from May 15 in the EEA area. According to those from ANCOM, starting on May 15, RCS & RDS, together with the rest of the telecommunications companies, will not be able to charge more than 0.19 euros for phone calls made by customers, or 0.06 euros for SMS messages sent by them.

RCS & RDS. Some of the mobile phone operators in Romania have already made announcements regarding the charging of tariffs for the services they offer in roaming in the EEA space, but not all of them. Those from RCS & RDS have not yet made any announcement regarding this change, but it is imposed by the European Union, so it will also apply to this mobile operator starting from May 15, and it good to know this.
Starting from May 15, 2019, the rates for fixed and mobile calls to any country within the European Economic Area (European Union states, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) will not exceed 0,19 euros (without VAT) per minute and 0,06 euros for an SMS.

The tariff change made by the EU for all customers in the Union is intended to facilitate simpler and hassle-free conversations, and all customers of RCS & RDS, or of other operators, will enjoy the changes.
