An Apple MacBook Pro was filmed as it emitted smoke from its casing, and was completely destroyed, with burn marks visible on the floor where it was left. It seems that the laptop caught fire during normal use, and of course the battery is more than likely the main "culprit" in this situation.
The Apple company has not yet commented on the situation, but it will not say too much either, especially since this is an isolated incident, fortunately. Such evidence of MacBook Pros being destroyed during use is extremely rare, and that's because laptop batteries are usually much better protected from the factory.
The situation is still reminiscent of Samsung, and the phones that caught fire spontaneously like a few years ago, Apple also having problems with some iPhone phones.
My MacBook Pro exploded today during normal use. No injuries, luckily. Some damage to the house. Could have been worse - good thing I wasn't on a plane.
