More precisely, yesterday the Romanian Government officially adopted our country's strategy regarding the launch of 5G mobile networks in the country, and RCS & RDS, and the rest of the operators, have a "titanic" job ahead of them in the coming months.

Although the provisions of GEO 114/2018 have not been modified for now, the Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Communications, is confident that mobile operators will make massive investments in 5G networks. Everything comes in the context where ANCOM said a week ago that some operators could decide not to participate in the 5G auction, although RCS & RDS, Orange, or Vodafone did not say this, Telekom making this announcement for some time.

On the other hand, the launch of 5G services in Romania would create no less than 250.000 jobs in the country, with investments amounting to several hundred million euros, at least in the first part. The interesting thing is that Huawei will not have restricted access to the supply of 5G telecommunications equipment for RCS & RDS, or the rest of the telecommunications companies, so we will surely see their products used for our networks.

Romania has now become one of the 12 countries in the European Union that has already established its strategy for the launch of 5G networks, in other areas there are already enough publicly active access points for customers. In Romania, for now, the auction for 5G frequencies is being prepared, and ANCOM said that RCS & RDS, plus the rest of the operators, will have only one chance to obtain the desired licenses, because no more auctions will be organized for them.
