Telegram, one of the most popular messaging apps on iPhone and Android, today released version 5.8 of the app, along with a number of new features. The first function allows adding new contacts to the address book, even if we don't have their phone number, using a new button Add to Contacts, visible in the upper right part of each chat.
Telegram also implemented a function called Add people nearby which allows adding to the address book people who are near us, their data being taken over automatically. If you are interested in discovering new people, then a new function will allow you to enter groups that have as their location one that is near you.
Telegram finally, it also allows the possibility to transfer the administrator rights over a group, or channel, to another person, and you will get rid of responsibilities. The Telegram application now also has available shortcuts for Siri, and all these novelties are offered in version 5.8 of the application for iPhone and Android phones.
"All new chats now have an Add to Contacts button at the top. This allows you to quickly add anyone who messages you to your Telegram contacts, even if you don't know their phone number yet. Simply open Contacts > Add People Nearby to quickly exchange contact info with Telegram users who are standing next to you (and also have this section open). If you ever get tired of being the host of your group, you can pass the burden on to another administrator. Telegram apps now support transferring ownership rights from any groups and channels to other users.”
