E-ALERT. Almost a year after the emergency warning system was launched in Romania, only today I received the first alert message, which was actually one for testing the system. I told you since last week that the authorities are testing the RO-ALERT system again in Romania to check how it works, and it seems that they have finally started sending the messages to iPhones as well.
E-ALERT. You can see below the message that reached me, in Bucharest, for the first time today, and leaving aside the fact that it is written wrong, at least I received something in the end. When I asked Orange and Digi Mobil if RO-ALERT also works on the iPhone, I only received evasive answers and nothing concrete, but even though Apple implemented support for its phones since December, I only now received the first message.

E-ALERT. From 2019, Apple is obliged to sell in Romania phones that can receive messages through this warning system in case of emergency, and all are compatible with it since 2018, as long as they have iOS 12.3.x minimum. The settings for receiving messages via RO-ALERT are available at the "bottom" of the page for controlling notifications from applications, so from there you can activate or deactivate the reception, and of course I do not recommend you to give up the messages.
E-ALERT. Receiving a message like this for the first time, I have to admit that it's not quite as scary as some have said, but it definitely gets your attention, and the sound doesn't disappear automatically. RO-ALERT was thought to warn the world when there are real emergency situations, and the alert message can wake you up without problems, or it can scare you in certain situations, but it is useful.
E-ALERT. The tests for the system will continue in the next period, and now you will also receive it on iPhone phones, if you have not already had the opportunity to experience this.
