Apple Spends AWESOME Sums on Research and Development

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), spends more and more money on research and development, the American company allocating several billion dollars every fiscal quarter. In Q2 2019, those from Apple spent 4.2 billion dollars on research and development, more than some companies still earn for years.

Apple invested 7.9% of its total revenue in Q2 2019 for research and development, the highest percentage since 2003. Apple is going to spend 16 billion dollars on research and development during 2019, the amount being so large that we can wonder what exactly it is preparing.

Apple hasn't launched a truly innovative iPhone in a very long time, and despite the big investments, it's unlikely to do so soon. Even so, the percentages spent by the Apple company on research and development are some of the lowest among all major American companies.

"We want to improve the user experience and differentiate our products and services in the market. So we will continue to do that. There are certain types of investments, of course, that are very strategic for us and will have long-term implications. "
