Vodafone: IMPORTANT Announcement Expected by Romanian Customers

Vodafone has millions of customers in Romania at the moment, and many of them are waiting for a very important announcement that is delayed from the company.

Vodafone missing

Vodafone is one of the largest telecommunications groups in our country, expanding its number of clients by acquiring those from UPC during this year, and this after making important investments in 2019 as well. Those from Vodafone were the first to have a 5G mobile phone network launched in Romania, a first for its time, but since then and until now things have stagnated as far as the telecommunications company is concerned.

Vodafone announced the first 5G telecommunications network in Romania, but it was quickly overtaken by DIGI Mobil and Orange in terms of the coverage it offers in our country, without making any more announcements since the launch. The other days Orange announced the 100% coverage of the city of Bucharest with their 5G network, a real first, very important by the way, but we hear absolutely nothing from Vodafone.

Vodafone: IMPORTANT Announcement Expected by Romanian Customers

Vodafone he didn't make any more announcements regarding the substantial expansion of 5G coverage in Romania, he didn't say how much of Bucharest he still covers, or not, everything remains a bit of a shadow for the operator. It is possible that this decision not to invest massively in the 5G network in Romania is also related to the fact that the authorities in our country have not yet decided on the auction that should be organized this year.

Vodafone will definitely participate in the 5G auction that will take place in Romania in 2020, he will more than likely want to take over many frequencies that will allow him to build his network as he wants, but until then things remain "up in the air" . Vodafone has one of the best telecommunications networks in Romania, and the expansion to 5G would certainly have brought a significant improvement in the internet browsing speeds it offers to customers.

Vodafone is starting to adopt a strategy similar to that of Telekom, which totally refused to invest in its 5G network due to the uncertainties in Romania, which led to the lack of this technology in its offer portfolio.
