The Ministry of Health announced today a negative record in the fight against the Corona virus pandemic, more precisely the number of patients hospitalized in intensive care has reached 535, the highest recorded since March and until now, and it is possible to increase in continuation.
The Ministry of Health expected to reach higher numbers of patients hospitalized in intensive care since the daily number of infections is constantly increasing, so it is possible that in the next period these numbers will be exceeded, and even exceed 600 of people requiring treatment at ATI.
"In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.408. Of these, 535 are hospitalized at ATI.
Until this date, at the national level, 2.366.178 tests have been processed. Of these, 13.528 were performed in the last 24 hours, 7.909 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 5.619 on request.
On the territory of Romania, 10.058 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 7.200 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 24.602 people are in home quarantine, and 179 people are in institutionalized quarantine."
