Raed Arafat: total quarantine in Romania is still possible

Raed Arafat total quarantine Romania

Raed Arafat, the head of DSU, comes today with a very important statement that has made a lot of people think, and this is because he suggests that a total quarantine in our country is not yet completely excluded, even if regional measures are now prioritized instead of the national ones.

Raed Arafat has said on several occasions that Romanians should not rule out a total quarantine for our country if the situation demands it, and this is because there are many localities where the number of infections with the new Coronavirus continues to increase, which it is a very big problem.

"We said that we would go with the idea of zonal or regional measures, but it is clear that never say never. We do not know how it will evolve and it is possible at any moment, if the evolution will be dramatic, to take more drastic measures. But the intention is to take measures in localities, in areas.

In the event that the number of cases will increase, beds will be allocated from the non-COVID area, a fact that will affect other pathologies. (…) We continue to transfer patients from certain localities to others. Today, from Alexandria we transferred the patient to Medgidia, by helicopter."
