Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom they managed to collect, together, a total of over 20 million customers in Romania, duplicates of course, and for all of them they offer a variety of services, but today we are talking about mobile internet. According to the tests carried out by those from Speedtest, DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom put Romania on the 47th place in the top of the countries with the fastest mobile internet, a position not so honorable for our country, unfortunately.
Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom offers Romanian customers an average speed of 37.18 Mbps for mobile internet, and this has pulled our country down two places compared to the previous position. Unfortunately, it seems that the performances enjoyed by Romanian customers in terms of mobile internet offered by DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom are not better than in Montenegro, Moldova, Hungary, Slovakia, and other European countries.

Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom places Romania in the top of the countries with the fastest fixed internet, but when it comes to mobile internet, things are much different, which unfortunately shows us that there is still much to improve. A drop of two places considering the previous positioning is not exactly tragic, and this is because we were anyway placed in a weak position due to the performances of the DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom networks, so there is room for great improvements.
Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom have invested billions of euros, cumulatively, in the telephone networks that more than 10 million Romanians use at the moment, but the poor coverage in rural areas is what "pulls down" the average speeds. If in the big cities in Romania those from DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom offer speeds of over 200 Mbps on 4G, even in homes, in other smaller cities or in rural areas, the speeds can sometimes not exceed 10Mbps.
Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom they still have a lot to do to increase coverage in rural areas and in small towns, so until then we probably won't place ourselves in a better place in the international rankings regarding mobile internet speeds.
