Orange: GREAT News for Many Romanian Customers

Orange has great news for its customers in Romania, the telecommunications operator succeeding in something that seemed almost impossible a few months ago.

Orange made a very important announcement during this summer, being able to boast of the fact that in just a few months he invested enough time and money to be able to offer 5% 100G coverage for Bucharest. Orange has had the 5G network in Bucharest for some time, as some of you know very well, but this is not the only one in the country that the operator has, and apart from the one in the capital, it has also worked on the others.

Orange extended the 5G coverage in Iasi for a very large part of the city, few areas remain without signal at the moment, which is good as great news for those there who wanted to try the technology. Brasov is another city for which Orange has expanded coverage in recent months, not as much as in Iasi, percentage-wise, but even there there are quite a few areas where the operator has this kind of coverage for customers.

Orange: GREAT News for Many Romanian Customers

Orange it was not in vain in Cluj either, where its 5G coverage is also better, not for the whole city, but anyway for larger areas, the Floresti commune still seems to have 100% coverage at the moment. Timisoara is another big city that enjoys good 5G coverage from Orange, and there the company is trying to offer customers a good experience using its mobile network, and it will probably continue with its investments.

Orange did not invest massively to expand 5G coverage in other areas of Romania, which is a bit of a shame, but in the end somewhat to be expected because the auction for 5G frequencies has not yet been held. In this idea, those from Orange do not know very clearly what exactly they would use in terms of frequencies with 5G equipment, so they probably decided to wait in other cities for the auction, and possibly the regulations of the authorities.

Orange is one of the three major telecommunications operators that have a 5G network available in Romania at the moment, Telekom being the only one that decided to wait after the auction for 5G frequencies.
