Nelu Tataru: The Important Decision Regarding December 1st and Christmas

Nelu Tataru Decision 1 December Christmas

Nelu Tataru, the Minister of Health, announced an important decision that the Romanian Government took regarding both the December 1 parade and Christmas, the first of which will be canceled for the public, and probably organized only for representatives of official state institutions.

Nelu Tataru makes it clear that the Christmas fairs will not be organized this year either, which is normal because very large crowds of people represent an extremely high risk of infection for any of the Romanians who decide to participate in them.

"I don't think there will be a December 1st parade. I don't think this is the time to parade. I think that at this moment we have to find options, effectively, to reduce the transmission in the community, and until Christmas let's think about what is next week, in two weeks and then, you know how it is, it depends on us how we prepare for Christmas.

Epidemiologically, the imposition of measures leaves a time of 14 days times three, to see an effect. That would mean that in three to four weeks we will see the effects of following some rules, then we can say that we are sitting on a plateau. There are another three weeks in which the number of cases will start to decrease, we can see them in some counties at the moment and then we can also take their example."
