"As a result of the spread of a message on Whatsapp groups in which a quote is presented that would belong to the head of the DSU, Dr. Raed Arafat, we want to state to the public opinion that we categorically distance ourselves from this information which is false and which falls into the category of FAKE NEWS.
The message that contains false information:
"RAED ARAFAT kind of jumped the horse. His security nostalgia reaches PARANOIC heights!
Quote, Raed Arafat: "We will prepare legislation immediately after the elections to be able to check if parties are held in homes. Until then, I encourage you to report these cases to the green line, with possible captures to identify the people and fine them accordingly. The mask must also be worn in the house especially if there are elderly people or children, I recommend that life partners do not sleep in the same bed. We can't verify this yet, it's just a recommendation. But in the future we will be able to check!”
We specify that this false information is intended to mislead public opinion, to create panic among the population and at the same time to discredit the efforts made by the Romanian authorities to combat the effects generated by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
At the same time, we appeal to all citizens not to believe the various messages disseminated on Whatsapp groups and to choose credible sources of information."
