BRD Romania warns customers from all over the country about a very important change that was made starting on January 1, and we are talking about something that affects all those who have cards from the bank. More precisely, BRD Romania informs all customers about the fact that from January 1, the way in which online payments are approved for customers throughout the country will change, and no one will escape these imposed changes.
BRD Romania is obliged, by the new rules for securing online payments, to impose stricter measures for the approval of online payments by customers, and this means that Romanians have to go through more hassles. BRD Romania will oblige clients from all over the country to use one of the three online payment authorization methods, being offered something extra compared to what other banks in Romania currently have from this point of view.
BRD Romania: ATTENTION! LAST MINUTE change on January 1
BRD Romania offers the first method of authorizing online payments by logging into the MyBRD Mobile application and confirming the authorization of the transaction by using a fingerprint or facial recognition, which must already be activated on the phones. If you can't do that, then you can use mPin to authorize online payments also through the MyBRD Mobile application from BRD Romania, so you have several options available to authorize payments.
BRD Romania also offers a third option for those who do not have the MyBRD Mobile application, or who do not want to use it, they receive a validation code via SMS, which must be used in tandem with their account password. Any of these three online payment authorization methods can be used by BRD Romania customers, but it is mandatory that at least one be used for online payments made on websites that have the 3D Secure system implemented.
BRD Romania cannot impose this authorization method on websites without 3D Secure, but can refuse to process transactions in the case of certain websites of this kind.
